AU Chair calls for the reform of the United Nations

Chairperson of the AU and Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has again called for the reform of the United Nations Security Council. He was speaking at the opening of the 26th African Union summit in Addis Ababa.

The 26th AU Summit is called to discuss Human Rights in Africa focusing mainly on the Rights of Women. But Africa’s security concerns dominate the two day meeting. AU Chair President Robert Mugabe thanked Ban Ki Moon, United Nations Secretary General for helping Africa tackle Malaria and other calamities like Ebola. Migration of Africans remains a concern and Africa will hold a summit to address the issue, stated President Mugabe. Watch the full speech here.
